Print Awareness is understanding the function of print in our culture; knowing the way to deal with a guide, how we observe the words on a page. Upper Grades (UG) are books that attraction to college students in grades 9—12.

You would think that schools would attempt to counter this development by putting more funding into their faculty libraries and studying programs. Listen to a guide read by an astronaut, then invite students to put in writing a short abstract of the book they simply heard. 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten at WNPL is made possible by a beneficiant grant from the Friends of the Warren-Newport Public Library District.
